Getting to know you . . .

Yep, as soon as I saw the Intro thread, that song from the musical "The King and I" popped into my head.

Anyway . . . I wrote some as a child, just for fun, but never thought to pursue it as a career. I thought [i]everyone[/i] could write, so what's the big deal? It was only when a few college professors, my husband, and all his coworkers reading my e-mails over his shoulder had consistently given their reactions that a lightbulb began to go on that maybe I [i]could[/i] actually get paid for something that doesn't feel like work.

My "career" is still in its infancy, and I still have much growing to do as a writer, but I have a start: three short stories are appearing in two different anthologies (two true pseudo-ghostwritten stories for "Can My Marriage Be Saved?" and one adventure story for an upcoming FaithWriters genre anthology). Plus, I have a line on a couple of other possibilities.
