Poetry
Contemporary

Warm water on skin,
ear drums, plexus, limbs all sink
to a drowsy half-way spilling dream
of trains that are running in the floor below,
of a far off radio speaking pressing news that dissolves
before it reaches the drifting continent, sound lost in the breath
that has become the tide of a foam crested ocean where the world drifts on
in peace.
